Another 13, inspired by Le Labo AnOther 13 (2010)

AnOther 13 is built around ambroxan, a material with a dry, ambery, slightly salty-woody smell, set with ambrette, a seed that gives a musky, faintly fruity note. Musks and woody, ambery notes make up the rest. Le Labo calls it an addictive, dirty potion with spike and shine, and the dirty part is a subtle animalic warmth. It stays abstract throughout, smelling more like skin than like a list of ingredients.

About the original

Le Labo created AnOther 13 in 2010 with AnOther Magazine and its editor Jefferson Hack, joining the magazine's name to a number in the house style. Osmoz, the fragrance site run by Firmenich, credits Nathalie Lorson as the perfumer. It began as a limited collaboration and now belongs to Le Labo's Classic Collection, sold as an eau de parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Le Labo stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Minimalists who enjoy molecular, musky scents will find plenty here. It is not floral, fresh or sweet in any obvious way, and its slightly animalic undertone can surprise people expecting a conventional perfume.

Why is it called AnOther 13?

The name comes from AnOther Magazine, Le Labo's partner on the 2010 launch, combined with a number in the brand's usual naming style.

Does it really smell dirty?

Le Labo itself calls it a 'dirty potion'. In practice that means a faint animalic, musky warmth around ambroxan, not anything overtly heavy.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
