Enigma, inspired by Roja Parfums Enigma Pour Homme (2013)

Enigma opens boozy and sweet, the cognac accord paired with ginger and a ripe, plum-like fruitiness. Bergamot sits at the top before geranium and rose come through. Heliotrope, a flower that smells of almond and powder, gives the heart its cherry-like tone. Once the cognac recedes, the scent becomes drier: tobacco, sandalwood and benzoin, a balsamic resin, with vanilla holding it together.

About the original

Roja Dove released Enigma in 2013, and in the United States it was sold as Creation-E for trademark reasons. It is now offered as Enigma Pour Homme in a 50 ml Parfum and a 100 ml Eau de Parfum, alongside Enigma Pour Femme and Enigma Aoud, which are separate scents. We base ours on that original cognac and tobacco Enigma, in its Pour Homme Parfum form.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Roja Parfums stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Its appeal rests on cognac and tobacco, so people who enjoy boozy, ambery scents will get on with it best. Roja markets it to men. The opening is markedly sweet, which may put off anyone who prefers dry woods.

Pour Homme, the original 2013 cognac and tobacco Enigma. Enigma Pour Femme and Enigma Aoud are different fragrances.

Yes. Creation-E is the name it was sold under in the US for trademark reasons.

Our reference is Enigma Pour Homme Parfum; Roja also sells it as an Eau de Parfum. What we make is an eau de parfum.
