Apex Man, inspired by Roja Parfums Apex Pour Homme (2022)

Apex opens on a burst of citrus, with pineapple adding a ripe, tropical sweetness to the lemon and mandarin. Underneath, the structure is a chypre, the classic pairing of citrus with oakmoss and patchouli, and galbanum gives it a green, slightly bitter, forest-floor depth. Fir balsam and cypress push it towards resinous conifers, while frankincense and sandalwood follow. The last stage turns darker, as leather, ambergris and musk give a faintly animalic finish.

About the original

Roja Parfums describes Apex Pour Homme as a fruity chypre and sells it today as a 100 ml Eau de Parfum and a 50 ml Parfum. It launched in 2022; in Australia it was first sold as Apex Cologne. A flanker, Apex Eau Intense, followed in 2025 and is a different scent. Our reference is the Eau de Parfum.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Roja Parfums stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Roja markets it to men. Pineapple and citrus keep the start lively, but the oakmoss, leather and animalic musk underneath give it a mature, classic feel that may not suit someone looking for a purely fresh fruity scent.

Oakmoss, patchouli, fir balsam and cypress make a green, resinous foundation, finished with frankincense, sandalwood, leather and ambergris.

Is Apex sweet?

Pineapple and rum give some ripe sweetness early on, but oakmoss, cypress and leather keep the overall character dry and mossy.
