Eragon, inspired by Parfums de Marly Eragon (2025)

A burst of cardamom leads, aromatic and slightly camphorous, with pink pepper, bergamot and mandarin brightening the edges. The heart turns briefly green and bitter: davana, a herb with a boozy, fruity note, and cypriol, a smoky, earthy root. Cinnamon then threads through everything. Patchouli, vanilla bean and tonka build a sweet amber base, with leather giving it a darker grain.

About the original

Eragon arrived in 2025 as one of three Les Extraits releases from Parfums de Marly, alongside Valero and Carios. It is a new composition in its own right, not an extrait of an earlier perfume. Creative director Julien Sprecher said it was born of a desire for tension between light and depth, and the brand describes patchouli, cinnamon and vanilla forming a deep, ambery and spicy trail. No perfumer has been named, and Parfums de Marly files it in its men's collection.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Parfums de Marly stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men who already enjoy cinnamon and vanilla in a fragrance will find the main appeal in its base. The sweetness is noticeable, and the leather and patchouli give it a heaviness that people after a fresh or citrus scent may not want.

Cardamom is the first and clearest note, with pink pepper, bergamot and mandarin around it.

Next comes a short, herbal passage of davana and cypriol, slightly bitter and green, before cinnamon spreads across the composition.

What remains is a sweet amber of tonka bean, vanilla bean and patchouli, with leather adding depth.

Is Eragon an extrait of an older Parfums de Marly scent?

No. Eragon was launched in 2025 as a new fragrance in the Les Extraits collection. The original is an Extrait de Parfum, while we make our version as an eau de parfum.

How sweet is Eragon?

Fairly sweet. Cinnamon, vanilla bean and tonka shape the base, although cardamom, davana and leather keep it from reading as a pure gourmand.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
