Osmanthus changes the opening: it is an Asian blossom that smells of apricot and faintly of suede, and it joins lychee and bergamot in the opening, a note the eau de parfum does not list. Freesia adds a peppery, airy floral note alongside jasmine, orange blossom and peony. The base is where the two versions part most clearly. Oakmoss and sandalwood replace the transparent woods, so it ends fuller and more textured, wrapped in floral musks.

About the original

Ex Nihilo describes the Extrait as Quentin Bisch's creation reinvented as an intense extrait de parfum, keeping the peony-led heart. Sources disagree on its launch: one retailer gives 2022, another 2024. The brand sells it alongside the eau de parfum as a separate product. Retailers list peony where the brand lists Petalia, and moss where it lists oakmoss.
