Moroccan Musk is a musk first and a floral second. The musk has a powdery texture with a faint animalic undertone. Sweet rose and other flowers sit with it and give the blend its rosy sweetness. Scent Salim keeps the composition simple and does not break it into top, heart and base.

About the original

Scent Salim is a small family-run house in the UK that specialises in oud and scent oils. It dates Moroccan Musk to 2010 and counts it among its top sellers, saying it was inspired by an everyday scent that is fresh and loved by everyone. One fragrance reference credits it to the Salim family (Ilyas, Mary and Moses Salim). The brand sells it both as a scent oil, from 3 ml to 100 ml, and as a 50 ml spray.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Scent Salim stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Musk lovers who find white-musk scents too sterile will appreciate the rose and sweetness here. Its powdery, faintly animalic character may not suit buyers who want a fresh, soapy musk. Scent Salim sells it as unisex.

Moroccan Musk is one of our own house fragrances. It was composed in house by our own perfumers and is not based on, or a copy of, any single branded perfume. It sits in the soft warm musk family, and any resemblance to other scents on the market is incidental rather than intended. As a house fragrance it is made in the EU to the same standard as the rest of our range, and it is sold under our own name with no connection to any other brand.
