God of Fire bursts open on mango, sticky and tropical, cut by lemon and pink berries and heated with ginger. The heart moves into jasmine, dry woods and coumarin, a molecule found in tonka beans that smells of hay, almond and sweet grass. As it dries down, oud and nagarmotha (a root, also called cypriol, with an earthy, smoky smell) take over, rounded by musk and amber. The sweetness carries through to the base, giving the whole scent a near-gourmand feel.

About the original

Stéphane Humbert Lucas released God of Fire in 2022 under his Paris house, Stéphane Humbert Lucas 777, and composed it himself. The name refers to Xiuhtecuhtli, the Aztec god of fire. The brand calls it its gateway fragrance. One perfumery places it in the house's Snake collection, though the brand's own page does not say so.
