Mango Skin, inspired by Vilhelm Parfumerie Mango Skin (2018)

Mango Skin begins with what the brand calls an expressionist burst: blackberry and mango together, cut with black pepper so the fruit does not go flat. Behind it sit wild orris, black lotus and jasmine, giving the heart a faintly powdery floral layer. Patchouli and vanilla make up the base, along with a pink sugar note that keeps it sweet to the end.

About the original

Vilhelm Parfumerie, an independent house, released Mango Skin in 2018. The brand frames the scent around South Africa. Its own description opens on blackberries and mango and closes on patchouli and vanilla. Mango Skin is still sold in the house's range.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Vilhelm Parfumerie stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Mango Skin is sweet first and fruity second, with tropical and vanilla among its voted accords. A buyer after a tart, green mango may find it too sugary, but fans of fruity gourmands should feel at home.
