Amouage built Interlude Black Iris around a dark, powdery iris, all soft violet and smoky oud over warm amber. The idea was a bold, refined elegance.

That smoky refinement is its appeal. The bergamot and violet give it a bright lift, the orris and jasmine make it powdery and floral, and the amber and oud give it a smoky depth. Our interpretation follows that same elegant path.
