About the perfume
Jasmin Rouge, inspired by Tom Ford Jasmin Rouge (2011)
Red lacquered lips are Tom Ford's own image for this jasmine, and the scent has that glossy, deliberate quality. Pepper, both black and white, frames the jasmine sambac from the start, joined by clary sage, an herb with a musky, tea-like smell. The jasmine is rich and almost buttery, helped by ylang ylang, yet it stays spicy rather than sweet. Labdanum and amber give the base a resinous glow.
About the original
Jasmin Rouge joined the Private Blend collection in autumn 2011 and is usually credited to Rodrigo Flores-Roux. Tom Ford describes it as a voluptuous, spicy floral built on jasmine sambac. The jasmine material is an absolute taken from the flower's sepals, the small green leaves around the bloom. A lighter Eau de Jasmin Rouge followed in 2021; this page refers to the original eau de parfum.
Our version
Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Tom Ford stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits
Spice runs through it from top to base, so it reads as voluptuous rather than innocent. The ripe richness of the sambac can feel dense to anyone who likes jasmine sheer and green.

Common questions
Is this Jasmin Rouge or Eau de Jasmin Rouge?
The original Jasmin Rouge eau de parfum from 2011. Eau de Jasmin Rouge is a lighter version released in 2021.
Is Jasmin Rouge for women?
It was launched and widely reviewed as a feminine scent, although Tom Ford's current product page does not assign it a gender.
Is Jasmin Rouge spicy?
Yes. Two peppers and clary sage run through the jasmine, so it reads as a spicy floral rather than a sweet one.
