Rose Caramel, inspired by Victoria's Secret Rose Caramel (2016)

Victoria's Secret described Rose Caramel as a floral gourmand, and that is how it reads: rose and jasmine first, with caramel melting in around them. Gourmand means a scent built on edible notes, here the burnt-sugar warmth of caramel. The flowers keep it from smelling purely like confectionery, though sweetness is the dominant impression throughout.

About the original

Rose Caramel launched in 2016 as one of four eau de parfums in The Trend Collection: Rose, alongside Rose Violet, Rose Bergamot and Rose Musk. The press described the whole quartet as limited-edition seasonal fragrances, and Victoria's Secret also released a coconut-themed Trend Collection. It is unrelated to Bare Rose and Hardcore Rose, which are separate Victoria's Secret scents.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Victoria's Secret stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sweet-tooth floral lovers are the natural audience. A dewy or green rose it is not: the caramel weighs on the flowers, and the overall style is plainly sugary rather than subtle.

Is Victoria's Secret Rose Caramel discontinued?

Yes. It was a limited seasonal edition from 2016 and is no longer produced.

Was Rose Caramel a body mist or an eau de parfum?

The original was an eau de parfum; no body mist version has been found. Ours is also an eau de parfum.

Is this the same as Bare Rose?

No. Rose Caramel belongs to The Trend Collection: Rose (2016), while Bare Rose is a different Victoria's Secret fragrance.

Is Victoria's Secret Rose Caramel coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Victoria's Secret about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
