Love In White

Love In White, inspired by Creed Love in White (2005)

Orange zest and apricot, with a crisp bite of apple, make a lightly fruity start. The flowers that follow are pale rather than heady: magnolia, narcissus, iris, jasmine and rose, laid over a rice note that feels clean, starchy and faintly milky. Musk and cedar keep the base quiet. Creed files it under fresh, crisp and green florals, and at least one reviewer has found it close to aquatic.

About the original

Love in White was released in 2005 and is still sold as an Eau de Parfum. Creed also sells a separate flanker, Love in White for Summer; this page refers to the original. Its name links it to Love in Black, a darker violet scent from 2008, though the two are unrelated in composition. Older retailer pyramids add vanilla, ambergris and sandalwood to the base, which Creed's current list leaves out.

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Creed stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spring is the season Creed names for it, and its lightness matches that. It is restrained in character, so a wearer looking for a rich or sensual floral may find it too quiet.
