Bloom, inspired by Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum (2017)

Gucci Bloom is a dense bouquet of white flowers. Jasmine and tuberose meet at full strength, slightly fruity at first and growing sweeter as they settle. Orris root adds a dry, powdery thread through the middle. Rangoon creeper, a climbing plant whose flowers turn from white to red, rounds out the base with a creamy, faintly toasted-coconut nuance.

About the original

Alberto Morillas composed Bloom, which Gucci launched in August 2017 as the first fragrance developed entirely under creative director Alessandro Michele. It was the first perfume to use Rangoon creeper. The campaign, shot by Glen Luchford, starred Dakota Johnson alongside Hari Nef and Petra Collins. Gucci has since added Bloom Intense and other flankers. It has nothing to do with Givenchy's Bloom, which we also make.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Gucci stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

It is aimed at people who already enjoy tuberose and jasmine. The floral density is the point of it, so expect flowers rather than wood or sweetness. If heady white flowers give you a headache, test a sample before committing.

Jasmine sambac opens it, bright and slightly fruity, quickly joined by tuberose.

Orris root runs underneath, dry and powdery, and Rangoon creeper adds a gentle creamy roundness as the flowers settle.

Is this Gucci Bloom or Givenchy Bloom?

Gucci Bloom from 2017. Givenchy Bloom is an unrelated fragrance that we offer as a separate product.

Does Gucci Bloom smell of coconut?

Not openly. Rangoon creeper can give a faint toasted-coconut nuance in the base, but jasmine and tuberose lead.

How is it different from Gucci Bloom Intense?

This page is the original Eau de Parfum. Bloom Intense is a separate flanker, which we also make.
