The Story Behind the Scent

Clive Christian’s No.1 has sat at the centre of the brand’s luxury perfumery since it revived the historic Crown Perfumery in the early 2000s. It follows the floral oriental tradition, built around ylang ylang, bergamot and mandarin up top, jasmine, rose and plum at the heart, and a deep base of vetiver, sandalwood, vanilla, amber and musk.

Sold in the trademark crown stopper bottle, a heritage motif granted to Crown Perfumery by Queen Victoria, No.1 became one of the most expensive perfumes in the world. Our interpretation respects that polished character and delivers it at a high concentration for a fraction of the price.
