Heroine, inspired by Boadicea the Victorious Heroine (c. 2019)

Orange gives a sweet, pulpy start, sharpened by bergamot and the green, cucumber-like note of violet leaf. Jasmine and Turkish rose follow, a classic floral pairing. As it dries, orris root brings a buttery, powdery tone, and musk, vanilla and tonka make the base feel smooth and rounded. Vetiver, amber and sandalwood stop it from becoming purely sweet.

About the original

Heroine sits in Boadicea the Victorious's floral range and appears in the brand's current Floral Gift Set. Boadicea describes it as juicy orange with fine florals and vanilla musks. A fragrance reference dates it to around 2019 and lists it for women. Boadicea's Hero, despite the similar name, is a different scent.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Boadicea the Victorious stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fruit, flowers and vanilla musk make this the most conventionally pretty profile in the Boadicea notes we cover. The powdery orris and vanilla musk drydown may feel too soft for buyers after something darker such as Ardent.

Somewhat, in the drydown. Orris root and musk give the base a soft powder, balanced by sandalwood and vetiver.
