Roses And Chocolate, inspired by Mancera Roses & Chocolate (2013)

Fruit comes first: peach, black currant, mandarin and bergamot, a tangy and fairly sweet combination. The chocolate arrives in the heart, and it is dark and powdery, closer to cocoa dusted over a dessert than to a bar of milk chocolate. Rose and violet sit alongside it, so the middle smells as much of a flower shop as a pâtisserie. Vanilla, white musk and a little cedar round off the base.

About the original

Mancera launched Roses & Chocolate in 2013. It does not appear among the house's current gourmand or floral fragrances, which now include Roses Vanille, Roses Greedy and Choco Violette, and collectors report that it has been discontinued. Those three are separate scents, not renamed versions of it.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Mancera stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Sweet, fruity and powdery all at once, it sits best with people already fond of gourmands. Opinions on the original split between finding it delicious and finding the sweetness synthetic, and that is worth knowing before buying.

Is Roses & Chocolate the same as Mancera Roses Vanille or Roses Greedy?

No. Those are different Mancera fragrances that are still sold. Roses & Chocolate is the 2013 scent built around cocoa, rose and violet.

Is Mancera Roses & Chocolate discontinued?

It no longer appears on Mancera's website, and collectors report it as discontinued. We have not seen an official announcement.
