Roses Vanille, inspired by Mancera Roses Vanille (2011)

Rose and vanilla carry the whole composition. Mancera pairs rose with Turkish delight, the rose-flavoured confection, so the flower comes across sugared and slightly powdery rather than fresh-cut. Databases add a short burst of Italian lemon at the start. Vanilla dominates the base, with white musk and cedarwood giving a clean, dry frame.

About the original

Roses Vanille is one of Mancera's earlier releases, dated 2011 by fragrance databases, and the brand features it among its best-known scents and calls it a bestseller. Mancera now calls it unisex, though some retailers and databases still file it for women. Database credits go to Pierre Montale, the founder of the house. A matching reed diffuser is also sold, and the scent is separate from Mancera's Roses Greedy.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Mancera stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits
