Black cherry opens it, dark and syrupy, with raspberry adding tartness and bergamot a brief lift. The middle is a rose and jasmine accord turned dessert-like by praline, with heliotrope giving an almond, powdery undertone. What sets it apart is the base: palo santo, a South American wood that smells faintly smoky and incense-like, joins guaiac wood, patchouli, Peru balsam and Haitian vetiver. That smoke stops the cherry from tipping into pure candy.

About the original

Kayali released Lovefest Burning Cherry in 2022. The brand's official page names Philippine Courtière as the perfumer, although some sources also credit Gabriela Chelariu. Its number, 48, is the iteration number. Kayali does not state the concentration on its page; it is sold as an eau de parfum, and some retailers label it Eau de Parfum Intense.
