Oudgasm Café Oud 19, inspired by Kayali Oudgasm Café Oud | 19 (2023)

Coffee is the hook. A cappuccino note, frothy and milky, sits over bergamot and mandarin from the start. Rose damascena and geranium bring a slightly green, rosy middle, which stops the coffee from turning into a pure dessert. Oud gives the base a woody, resinous depth, with Madagascar vanilla and white musk softening it and patchouli adding earth.

About the original

Café Oud | 19 belongs to Kayali's Oudgasm collection, launched in 2023 with Vanilla Oud 36, Rose Oud 16 and Tobacco Oud 04. It reached Europe in January 2024 as an Eau de Parfum Intense. Hamid Merati-Kashani of dsm-firmenich created it with Kayali founder Mona Kattan. A Bakhoor (incense) version exists as well; this page is for the perfume.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Kayali stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Coffee and vanilla make it cosy and gourmand, with the oud there for structure rather than smoke. Fans of dark, traditional oud may find it too sweet.

Both are in the Oudgasm collection. Café Oud is built on coffee, rose and vanilla, while Tobacco Oud centres on honeyed tobacco with clove and saffron.
