Torino 23, inspired by Xerjoff Torino23 (2023)

Bergamot opens Torino 23 with a clean citrus lift, and cardamom and nutmeg give it a dry, spiced edge from the start. Rose sits alongside the spices before the white flowers take over, and neroli, jasmine, tuberose and ylang-ylang form the white-floral heart. Cashmere wood, a modern woody note with a smooth, felt-like texture, carries the base with amber and musk. Xerjoff calls it a classic, refined tennis scent and links it to manicured grass clubs and players in crisp white polo shirts.

About the original

Xerjoff released Torino 23 in 2023 to mark its third year as Silver Partner of the Nitto ATP Finals in Turin, and styles the name as one word, Torino23. It belongs to a yearly series that began with Torino21 and continued with Torino22 and Torino24, each a different fragrance. The original is sold as a 50 ml eau de parfum in Xerjoff's Join The Club collection. The house does not name the perfumer and now lists these notes in its product data, matching Xerjoff's earlier description.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Xerjoff stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

It is sold as unisex, with spice and white flowers in roughly equal measure. Tuberose and ylang-ylang sit at the centre of the heart, so a buyer wary of white florals should bear that in mind. Anyone expecting pure citrus freshness from the tennis theme will find it more floral than that.

Bergamot comes first, clear and citrusy, with cardamom and nutmeg adding dry spice and rose a light floral note underneath.

The heart is the white-floral part. Neroli brings a green, orange-tree freshness, jasmine and tuberose add body, and ylang-ylang lends a slightly fruity, rounded tone.

Cashmere wood and cedarwood make up the base, with amber and musk around them and a little patchouli beneath, a warm, woody finish.
