Uden Overdose, inspired by Xerjoff Uden Overdose

Uden Overdose keeps the citrus start of its predecessor, bergamot and lemon this time, but moves coffee into the heart. Ginger gives the coffee a peppery, almost fizzy edge, and tobacco flowers add a sweet, hay-like floral note quite unlike tobacco leaf. The base is short and simple: amber and musk. Xerjoff describes the concept as overdosing certain notes of the original, and retailers present it as a bolder take on Uden inspired by a stormy sea.

About the original

Xerjoff released Overdose ten years after the first Uden, by its own account, though neither date is published. It belongs to the same Shooting Stars collection, with a certified meteorite fragment in the case. The brand calls it a fresh woody fougère. Its pyramid differs from that of Uden, so it is a separate scent rather than a stronger concentration of the same formula.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Xerjoff stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Coffee is the reason to choose this over the original. The ginger and tobacco-flower pairing gives the middle a spiced, honeyed quality, and amber rounds off the finish. A wearer after a clean citrus scent would find the coffee heart too dominant.

No. Both originals are sold as Eau de Parfum. Overdose has its own pyramid, with coffee in the heart alongside ginger and tobacco flowers.

Which should I choose, Uden or Uden Overdose?

Uden moves from citrus through rose and rum to a coffee and vanilla base. Overdose puts coffee in the middle with ginger and tobacco flowers, then finishes on amber and musk. We make both.
