Honeysuckle & Davana, inspired by Jo Malone London Honeysuckle & Davana Cologne (2018)

Honeysuckle here is the English hedgerow kind: nectar-sweet, green and sunny. Davana, an oil distilled from an Indian herb, adds a fruity note with a faint liquorice tint that keeps the flower from smelling simply sweet. Moss underpins it all with an earthy, slightly damp base. The overall effect is airy and natural, a garden flower rather than a perfumed bouquet.

About the original

Anne Flipo composed it, and Jo Malone London announced it in July 2018 as a new Cologne in 30 ml and 100 ml. Brand copy ties it to the honeysuckle of English hedgerows. It sits in the brand's regular cologne line, which is marketed as unisex. Honeysuckle & Jasmine, which shares the flower and the brand, is a different fragrance.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Jo Malone London stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fans of honeysuckle who find some versions cloying may like how davana and moss pull this one greener. It feels light and open. The fruity davana carries a slight liquorice tone that not everyone enjoys.
