Bubble Bath opens on a soap accord with bergamot and pink pepper, fizzy and clean. Lavender comes through next, softened by rose and jasmine. Coconut milk gives the middle and base a milky sweetness, and white musk carries the whole thing towards the feel of skin wrapped in a fresh towel.

About the original

Maison Margiela added Bubble Bath to the Replica line in March 2020, setting its memory in Beverly Hills in 2005: a moment of relaxation in a hot scented bath. It was composed by Violaine Collas of the fragrance house Mane. In 2021 it won Best Niche Fragrance of the Year at the Academia del Perfume awards, decided by public vote. The brand still sells it as an eau de toilette.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Maison Margiela stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Clean-scent fans are its natural audience, and the brand presents it as unisex. The lavender is prominent and the musk lingers, and some wearers find one or the other too dominant. The coconut milk is noticeable as well, so it may not suit a buyer who dislikes coconut.
