The Story Behind the Scent

YSL created Black Opium Extreme as a more intense flanker to the hugely popular original. The brief was simple, take everything people loved about the coffee and vanilla and make it richer, warmer, and more enveloping.

The result kept the addictive coffee signature but pushed the sweetness and warmth further, making it feel cosier and more night ready. Our interpretation follows that same idea, holding onto the coffee heart while leaning into a deeper, sweeter base.
