Victoria's Secret files it under 'Fruity Gourmand' and calls it 'feminine & unexpected', and the pairing of tropical fruit with a marzipan-like almond explains the second word.

Velvet Petals is a long-running Victoria's Secret body mist, and the original is a fragrance mist rather than a perfume, with no eau de parfum version listed. It has been repackaged into the Classic Fragrance Mist line, which the brand presents as a new look with the same scent. Several flankers share the name, including Shimmer, La Creme, Noir, In Bloom and Vacation; this page refers to the core version. Its original launch year is not verified.
