About the perfume
Good Fortune, inspired by Viktor&Rolf Good Fortune (2022)
Good Fortune begins with an unusual pairing distilled together: fennel, with its sweet aniseed tone, and gentian flower, which adds a bitter, earthy freshness. Jasmine grandiflorum follows, full and slightly fruity. The base is dominated by Bourbon vanilla from Madagascar, which wraps the jasmine in a rich, smooth sweetness.
About the original
Viktor&Rolf announced Good Fortune in May 2022 as a women's eau de parfum inspired by its Spiritual Glamour haute couture collection. L'Oréal, the brand's licensee, credits Anne Flipo and Nicolas Beaulieu. The formula is vegan and the bottle refillable. In 2023 it was joined by a flanker, Good Fortune Elixir Intense.

Who it suits
Romantic in mood, it suits wearers who enjoy jasmine and vanilla but want something less predictable at the start. The fennel opening may divide opinion, especially among those who dislike aniseed. Vanilla is prominent in the base.
Fennel and gentian make the opening green, aniseed-tinged and slightly bitter.
