Paradiso, inspired by Roberto Cavalli Paradiso (2015)

Citrus leads: bergamot and mandarin, with neroli adding a floral freshness. Jasmine forms the heart. What sets Paradiso apart is the base, where cypress and laurel bring a dry, resinous woodiness with a Mediterranean feel. The launch notes also mention parasol pine, which reinforces that aromatic finish.

About the original

Paradiso launched in early 2015, with Edita Vilkeviciute in the campaign, and is credited to Louise Turner of Givaudan. It started a line that later added Paradiso Azzurro, Paradiso Assoluto and Paradiso Rosa.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Roberto Cavalli stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Warm weather and daytime are where one retailer places it. The woody base is dry and resinous, so it may seem austere to someone hoping for a fruity floral.

What does cypress add to Paradiso?

A dry, resinous green note, a little like pine needles. It balances the citrus and jasmine and gives the drydown its woody character.
