Heiress Limited Edition, inspired by Paris Hilton Heiress (2006)

Passion fruit and orange open with a fizzy tartness, and a champagne mimosa accord adds a sparkling-wine lift that keeps the fruit from becoming heavy. Underneath, tiare (the Tahitian gardenia) and ylang-ylang give a lush, tropical floral layer, smoothed by honeysuckle. The finish is greener and quieter than the start suggests, as violet leaf and vetiver dry out the tonka.

About the original

Paris Hilton released Heiress through Parlux in 2006, and Steven DeMercado is usually credited as its perfumer. For the 2015 holiday season the brand issued Heiress Limited Edition, which its press release described as a redesigned limited bottle of the original scent, with the same notes. Only the bottle was limited; the eau de parfum itself is still sold on the official Paris Hilton Fragrances site. The current official page lists some notes differently (sea breeze and clary sage in the heart), and it is not known whether that reflects a change of formula.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Paris Hilton stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Fruit-first perfumes are its territory. The opening is sweet and tropical, but the vetiver and violet leaf base gives it a fresher, cleaner close than many fruity florals.

Star jasmine, tiare and ylang-ylang form a white-flower heart, with honeysuckle and dewberry blossom adding a nectar-like sweetness.

The drydown turns green and woody: violet leaf and vetiver over tonka bean and pale blonde woods.

Is Heiress Limited Edition a different scent from Heiress?

No. The 2015 Limited Edition was a redesigned bottle of the original 2006 Heiress eau de parfum, with the same notes.

Is this Heiress for men?

No, this is the women's Heiress. Heiress for men is a separate fragrance.
