212 Vip Club Edition, inspired by Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Men Club Edition (2015)

The opening is cool and airy, an ozonic accord with lime and a savoury note listed as caviar. Nutmeg and pepper take over in the heart, adding dry heat. The note reviewers single out is in the base: gianduia chocolate, nutty and dark, laid over king wood. The contrast between the fresh start and the cocoa finish is the point of the scent.

About the original

Carolina Herrera issued the Club Editions in 2015 as limited versions of the 212 VIP pair, and this is the men's, based on 212 VIP Men from 2011. A women's 212 VIP Club Edition was released at the same time. It came as an 80 or 100 ml eau de toilette, with nightlife at the centre of its marketing. As a limited release it was not kept in the range, and it does not appear among the 212 fragrances on Carolina Herrera's US site.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Carolina Herrera stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

No. The Club Editions were limited releases for 2015, and this one has not been made since.

Does 212 VIP Club Edition smell of chocolate?

Yes, in the base. The chocolate sits on king wood after the fresher lime and spice have faded.
