Harrods Swarovski Limited, inspired by Bond No. 9 Harrods Swarovski Limited Edition (2009)

Oud and myrrh give the scent its dark centre: woody, bitter-resinous and a little medicinal. Black pepper and cumin add heat and a skin-like, savoury spice. Amber gives a softer, resinous warmth, and vetiver a rooty, earthy line.

About the original

Laurent Le Guernec composed this oud for Bond No. 9's first Harrods exclusives, released in 2009 alongside Harrods for Him and Harrods for Her. It came as a 100 ml eau de parfum in a collector's flacon studded with Swarovski crystals, and Now Smell This described it as a sensual unisex scent. A 2014 overview of the Bond No. 9 Harrods line called it a limited edition from the 2009 holiday season. It is separate from the Swarovski-crystal versions of other Bond No. 9 scents and from the later Harrods ouds.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Bond No. 9 stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Cumin is the note to be sure about, as it adds a savoury, almost sweaty spice that some people love and others cannot wear. Oud fans who like resin and pepper rather than rose or vanilla will find it a good match.

Is Bond No. 9 Harrods Swarovski discontinued?

It was a limited edition for the 2009 holiday season, sold exclusively at Harrods, and is no longer produced.

Is this related to Bond No. 9's other Swarovski bottles?

No. Bond No. 9 sells crystal-decorated versions of several scents, but this page is based on the 2009 Harrods oud edition.

Yes. Cumin is listed with black pepper, alongside oud, myrrh, amber and vetiver.

Is Bond No. 9 Harrods Swarovski Limited coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Bond No. 9 about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
