Musc Noir For Her, inspired by Narciso Rodriguez for her MUSC NOIR (2021)

Plum opens it, dark and slightly jammy without much sugar. The musk that defines the for her line then takes over, here shaded with heliotrope, which adds a powdery, almond-like softness. The base is a suede leather accord, smooth and matte rather than rugged, with touches of white cedar and rose according to the brand. It stays quiet and textural, more fabric than flower.

About the original

Narciso Rodriguez added for her Musc Noir to the for her family in 2021, with Sonia Constant as perfumer. The brand states that over 90% of its ingredients are of natural origin. It was followed in 2022 by Musc Noir Rose, a separate and more floral version.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Narciso Rodriguez stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Wearers who already like the Narciso musk and want something deeper will find this the natural next step. Its character is subtle and textural rather than bold. Some people find the musk slightly animalic, and the powder from heliotrope will not please everyone.

We have not been able to confirm whether Narciso Rodriguez still produces it. It still appears on the brand's site, but Sephora France now carries Musc Noir Rose and not this one.

How does Musc Noir differ from Musc Noir Rose?

Musc Noir is darker and more powdery, built on plum, heliotrope and suede. Musc Noir Rose adds bergamot, pink pepper, tuberose and vanilla, and reads more floral.
