Rare Beauty Eau de Parfum, inspired by Rare Beauty Rare Eau de Parfum (2025)

Caramel and pistachio arrive together, and pink pepper keeps that first sweetness from going flat. Ginger then adds a tingling, slightly peppery heat around a vanilla core. Cocoa bean gives the middle a dark, bitter-chocolate edge. Later the sugar recedes into sandalwood, tonka and soft skin musks.

About the original

Rare Beauty launched Rare Eau de Parfum on 7 August 2025 through Sephora and its own website. It was the brand's first fine fragrance and arrived with four Fragrance Layering Balms (Amber Vanilla, Floral Peony Blossom, Fresh Bergamot and Woody Oak) for adjusting the scent. The bottle has an oversized actuator developed with certified hand therapists for people with limited grip. Trade press credits Jérôme Epinette of Robertet with the formula. A second eau de parfum, Rare Beginnings, followed in 2026 and is a different, fruity floral scent.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Rare Beauty stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Lovers of pistachio and caramel desserts will recognise the profile at once. Launch press framed it as a fragrance for autumn and cooler weather. It is unmistakably sweet, so anyone who avoids sugary gourmands should probably look elsewhere.

Opening: caramel sweetness and nutty pistachio, with pink pepper giving a bright, rosy prickle.

Heart: vanilla becomes the centre, ginger adds spice and cocoa bean brings a darker, slightly bitter note that keeps it grown-up.

Drydown: sandalwood and tonka bean, the latter with its almond and hay facets, finish on a cushion of skin musks.

Is this Rare Eau de Parfum or Rare Beginnings?

Our version takes Rare Eau de Parfum as its reference, the 2025 caramel, pistachio and vanilla gourmand. Rare Beginnings (2026) is a separate fruity floral with pear, gardenia and jasmine.

How sweet is it?

Clearly sweet, built on caramel, vanilla and tonka. Pink pepper, ginger and cocoa add spice and a slightly bitter edge.
