Vanilla Fields, inspired by Coty Vanilla Fields (1993)

Vanilla Fields is a floral vanilla in a light register. Mimosa gives a powdery, honeyed note, and jasmine adds a soft white-flower sweetness. The vanilla is subdued, sitting underneath rather than taking over. Some wearers describe the overall effect as sweet and innocent.

About the original

Coty launched Vanilla Fields in 1993 as a drugstore fragrance, mainly as a cologne spray. It won a FiFi award the following year. Its success led to many vanilla imitators, and Coty won a preliminary injunction against one of them. Later flankers followed; the 1993 original is our reference.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Coty stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Simplicity is its appeal: a soft floral vanilla without heavy sugar or resin. Wearers who remember the drugstore vanillas of the 1990s may recognise the style. It is light, so it will feel thin to anyone wanting a rich, dessert-like vanilla.
