Colonia Club

Colonia Club, inspired by Acqua di Parma Colonia Club (2015)

Mint is the first thing you notice, cool and leafy, layered over bergamot, lemon, mandarin and neroli. Petitgrain gives the citrus a twiggy edge. The heart turns aromatic with lavender and geranium, while galbanum, a plant resin with a bitter, leafy smell, keeps it from going sweet. Haitian vetiver, ambergris and musk finish it on a dry note.

About the original

Acqua di Parma added Colonia Club to its Colonia collection in 2015. In 2022 the house introduced Colonia C.L.U.B., sold under an almost identical name but with a different composition: pepper, shiso and rosemary over cedar and musk, without the mint and lavender of the 2015 version. The notes on this page are those of the 2015 Colonia Club. Acqua di Parma presents its colognes in gender-neutral terms.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Acqua di Parma stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spring and summer daytime suit it best, and it wears like a classic barbershop cologne, minty and herbal over citrus. Anyone after the peppery, shiso-led profile of the current C.L.U.B. should note that this page describes the earlier, mint-forward formula.

Is Colonia Club the same as Colonia C.L.U.B.?

No. Colonia C.L.U.B. (2022) replaced the 2015 Colonia Club and is a different formula: its published notes centre on pepper, shiso and rosemary, with no mint or lavender. This page refers to the 2015 version with mint and lavender.

Is the 2015 Colonia Club still made?

Not in its 2015 form. Acqua di Parma now sells Colonia C.L.U.B. under a near-identical name, but it is a different formula rather than the 2015 composition.
