The Story Behind the Scent

Dsquared2 built Black Potion as a moody, aromatic fragrance with an almost apothecary feel, all bitter herbs, resins, and dark woods. The idea was something intriguing and a little witchy, far from a typical fresh masculine.

That unusual, herbal darkness is why it kept a following even after it was discontinued. The gentian and wormwood give it a bitter edge, the incense and myrrh add smoke, and the woods ground it. Our interpretation keeps that atmospheric character alive.
