Divine Attraction, inspired by Initio Parfums Privés Divine Attraction (2015)

Despite a name that sounds romantic, Divine Attraction lists no floral notes. Ginger gives a spiced, almost fizzy start and incense brings smoke straight away. The heart is leather, dry and slightly animalic, and the base is vetiver, a grass root with an earthy, smoky character.

About the original

Released in 2015, Divine Attraction was part of Initio Parfums Privés' original Absolutes collection, and the brand's tagline paired electrifying ginger with mesmerising incense. It is no longer listed on Initio's EU or US stores, and the Absolutes line-up now consists of Absolute Aphrodisiac, Blessed Baraka and Addictive Vibration. Initio has not published a statement, so the date of withdrawal is unknown.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Initio Parfums Privés stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Evenings and special occasions are where retail copy places it. Dryness and smoke are the main hurdles: a buyer expecting the sweet scent the name implies will be surprised, and the animalic leather is not to every taste.

Ginger opens with a spiced, zesty lift, and incense arrives with it, so the first impression is already smoky.

Leather forms the heart, dry and with a faint animal note.

Vetiver carries the drydown, earthy and woody, with the incense smoke lingering.

It is no longer listed on Initio's own EU or US stores and has left the Absolutes collection. The brand has not published a statement.

Is Divine Attraction a floral perfume?

No. It is a leather and vetiver scent with ginger and incense, and there are no floral notes in its list.

Is this related to Gaultier Divine or Cavalli Divine Oud?

No. This page is Initio Divine Attraction. Jean Paul Gaultier Divine and Roberto Cavalli Divine Oud are different perfumes, which we also make.

Is Initio Parfums Privés Divine Attraction coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Initio Parfums Privés that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
