Euphoria Gold, inspired by Calvin Klein Euphoria Gold (2014)

Honey is the thread that runs through Euphoria Gold. It opens on fruit, with apricot giving a velvety sweetness and kumquat a sour orange tang. Gardenia and narcissus join the honey in the heart, and the narcissus brings a faintly hay-like note that stops the flowers from becoming merely pretty. Patchouli and sandalwood, smoothed by musk, give the drydown a powdery, golden finish.

About the original

Euphoria Gold was released in 2014 as a limited edition of Calvin Klein's Euphoria, alongside a men's counterpart, Euphoria Gold Men. Perfume databases class it as a fruity oriental, with honey as its dominant accord. The name causes confusion, because Liquid Gold Euphoria, also from 2014, is a separate women's flanker. As a limited edition it was not kept in the range, and it does not appear on Calvin Klein's US site.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Calvin Klein stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Rich and sweet rather than airy, it is for someone who already enjoys honey and amber styles. Honey dominates throughout and the base turns powdery, so anyone wary of syrupy or powdery perfumes may find it too much.

It is Euphoria Gold, the 2014 women's limited edition. Liquid Gold Euphoria is a different flanker from the same year.

Is Calvin Klein Euphoria Gold still made?

No. It was a limited edition for 2014 and is no longer produced.

How sweet is Euphoria Gold?

Quite sweet. Honey is the dominant accord, tempered by white flowers and a musky, woody base.

Is Calvin Klein Euphoria Gold coming back?

It was a limited edition. So far, we have found no announcement from Calvin Klein about a re-release. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
