The Story

Launched in 2009 and composed by Maurice Roucel, Gianfranco Ferre In The Mood For Love was a bright, happy floral-fruity scent, designed to capture a liberating urge for romantic love. Cheerful and sunny, it earned a devoted following. Ferre has since discontinued it, so original bottles are now hard to find. Our interpretation keeps this joyful scent available.

How It Smells

This is happiness and romance in a bottle. It opens bright and cheerful, with a creamy magnolia, bitter orange, and bergamot lifted by a tangy tamarind that adds an unusual, mouth-watering twist. The heart is a soft, pretty bouquet of red rose, jasmine, orange blossom, and lily of the valley, romantic and sunny. As it settles, a warm base of amber, sandalwood, and white musk gives a soft, clean, slightly powdery finish. Floral, fruity, and uplifting, it is a joyful feel-good scent that lifts the mood.

Our interpretation rebuilds In The Mood For Love at 40 percent perfume oil, a far higher concentration than the lighter eau de toilette and eau de parfum sprays most people know, where the actual oil content is often only a small fraction of that. Made in the EU to careful standards, it is formulated to track the character you remember while giving you stronger projection and noticeably longer wear on skin.
