Just Gold For Her, inspired by Roberto Cavalli Just Cavalli Gold for Her (2014)

Hazelnut gives the opening a toasted, nutty sweetness, and mandarin lifts it just enough to keep it from feeling heavy. Marshmallow then takes over, a fluffy sugared note that the iris turns powdery. Jasmine runs underneath as a floral thread rather than the main subject. Later the sugar recedes, and a supple leather accord with rosewood gives the base some grip.

About the original

Roberto Cavalli announced Just Gold in July 2014 as a pair, one for her and one for him, following the 2013 Just Cavalli for Her. The women's version was an eau de parfum and is credited to Fabrice Pellegrin. It has nothing to do with the Roberto Cavalli Gold Collection, the premium line that includes Splendid Vanilla. The Cavalli licence passed from Coty to Interparfums in 2023, and Just Gold for Her is not among the scents now shown on the brand's European sites.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Roberto Cavalli stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Gourmand fans are the obvious audience, since hazelnut and marshmallow give it a confectionery feel. Fragrance databases tend to associate it with cold weather and evenings. Opinion on the sweetness is split, and the marshmallow can read as cloying to people who favour drier compositions.

Hazelnut arrives first, roasted rather than raw, with mandarin peel giving a brief citrus lift.

In the heart, marshmallow and iris create a powdery, sugared cloud, and jasmine adds a floral undertone.

The drydown is leather and rosewood (also called palisander), smoother and less sugary than the start.

Is Just Cavalli Gold for Her discontinued?

It is no longer listed on Roberto Cavalli's official fragrance pages, and we have found no current EU retailer stock. We have not found a public announcement from the brand.

Is this the women's or the men's Just Cavalli Gold?

The women's, launched in 2014. Just Cavalli Gold for Him came out the same year as a separate scent, and we make it too.

Is it part of the Roberto Cavalli Gold Collection?

No. The Gold Collection is a separate premium line that includes Splendid Vanilla; Just Gold for Her belonged to the younger Just Cavalli range.

Is Roberto Cavalli Just Gold For Her coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Roberto Cavalli that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
