Idole Nectar, inspired by Lancôme Idôle Nectar (2022)

Launch material called the heart a 'rose soufflé', and the phrase fits: the rose here is airy and sugared rather than dewy. Popcorn gives it a toasted, grainy edge, while the caramel accord adds the smell of sugar just beginning to colour in a pan. Bourbon vanilla underneath keeps everything rounded. Set beside the clean rose and musk of the original Idôle, Nectar is far sweeter and more edible.

About the original

Idôle Nectar arrived in May 2022 as an Eau de Parfum flanker of Idôle (2019). Launch coverage credits the team behind Idôle: Shyamala Maisondieu, Adriana Medina-Baez and Nadège Le Garlantezec. Lancôme named Isparta rose and Bourbon vanilla as key ingredients and put the scent in a peach-coloured bottle. It no longer appears on the brand's official Idôle pages, where newer flankers such as Idôle Power and Peach'N Roses are listed; those are different scents, not Nectar under a new name.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Lancôme stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Gourmand fans will recognise the territory at once. It is a sweet scent first and a rose second, so a buyer hoping for the fresh, clean feel of the main Idôle would be better served by that one.

The rose is the first thing to register, lifted and sugared rather than green.

Popcorn and hot caramel move in quickly. Together they read as toasted sugar with a grainy, almost savoury edge, the playful part of the formula.

Bourbon vanilla carries the drydown, with the rose fading to a pinkish trace over a smooth, sweet base.

Is Lancôme Idôle Nectar discontinued?

Lancôme has made no announcement we could find, but it no longer appears in the brand's official Idôle range. A few retailers are still selling off bottles.

How is Idôle Nectar different from the original Idôle?

Idôle (2019) is a clean rose and musk scent. Nectar keeps the rose but adds popcorn, hot caramel and vanilla, which makes it much sweeter. We make both.

Is Idôle Now or Peach'N Roses the same as Nectar?

No. They are separate Idôle flankers that Lancôme currently sells, not Nectar under a new name.

Is Lancôme Idole Nectar coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Lancôme that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
