Knot, inspired by Bottega Veneta Knot (2014)

Knot opens with a spray of citrus: clementine, mandarin and lime, together with neroli and orange blossom from the bitter-orange tree. Lavender is the unexpected part, giving the floral heart a clean, slightly herbal edge beside peony and white rose. It reads soapy in the good sense, like linen dried outdoors. Musk and tonka bean finish it quietly.

About the original

Daniela Andrier composed Knot, which Bottega Veneta released in 2014 under its Coty licence. The idea was the Italian coast, with flowers and clean laundry drifting through open windows. Two flankers followed, Knot Eau Florale in 2015 and Knot Eau Absolue in 2018, and this page refers to the original eau de parfum. Bottega Veneta quietly ended this whole range in 2021, and its 2024 fragrances are new compositions.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Bottega Veneta stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Spring and summer daytime suit it best, and the clean, soapy character agrees. It suits someone who wants to smell freshly washed rather than perfumed. Anyone looking for depth or a noticeable base may find it too polite.

Is Bottega Veneta Knot discontinued?

Yes. Knot was part of the Coty-era range that Bottega Veneta discontinued around 2021.

Is this the original Knot or Knot Eau Florale?

The original 2014 eau de parfum. Eau Florale (2015) and Eau Absolue (2018) were later flankers.

Does Knot smell soapy?

Somewhat. It is often described as clean and soapy, mostly because of the lavender and musk.

Is Bottega Veneta Knot coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Bottega Veneta that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
