Light Blue Love in Capri launched in 2010 as one of D&G’s most popular Light Blue limited editions, inspired by the romantic island of Capri off the Sorrento coast. The brief was a polished Mediterranean composition built around lemon tree leaves, citron of Diamante and mandarin at the opening, almond blossom, honeysuckle and heliotrope at the heart, and a base of musk and cedar. Where the standard Light Blue reads as bright Mediterranean citrus floral, Love in Capri pulled into warmer floral territory with almond blossom and heliotrope adding a soft slightly powdered character. As an annual limited edition, the composition was retired after its season. Original bottles continue to circulate on resale platforms. Our interpretation respects the polished character.

How It Smells

The opening is bright and slightly green, lemon tree leaves leading with their distinctive green citrus character, citron of Diamante adding a sharper citrus edge, mandarin contributing juicy citrus warmth, and a quiet sparkling brightness threading through the early phase.
