The One Essence

The One Essence, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana The One Essence (2015)

Peach and lychee give the top a ripe, rounded fruitiness, kept fresh by bergamot and mandarin. Jasmine, lily and lily of the valley follow, a white floral heart. Amber and vanilla dominate the base, and vetiver keeps it from becoming purely sweet. Because Essence was presented as the most concentrated version of the 2006 composition, the same notes come across denser and more golden.

About the original

Dolce & Gabbana released The One Essence in September 2015 as the highest concentration of the women's The One, first launched in 2006. It used the same notes in a richer formula and came in 40 and 65 ml, in a dressed-up version of the original bottle. It is no longer listed on Dolce & Gabbana's UK, French, Italian or US sites, where the women's line now includes The One Eau de Parfum Intense. This page is the women's scent, not The One for men.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dolce & Gabbana stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Dense and ambery, it is sweeter than the standard The One Eau de Parfum. Vanilla and ripe fruit are prominent, which will not suit every taste.

Is The One Essence discontinued?

It no longer appears in Dolce & Gabbana's range in the UK, France, Italy or the US. Remaining bottles still turn up at some retailers.

Is this the women's or the men's The One?

The women's. The One Essence is a 2015 flanker of the women's The One; the men's The One is a different fragrance, which we also make.

How does Essence differ from the original The One?

It keeps the same notes (peach, lychee, jasmine, lily, amber and vanilla) in a higher concentration, so it comes across richer.

Is Dolce & Gabbana The One Essence coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Dolce & Gabbana that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days. It arrives in 3 to 7 days across the EU and in 7 to 14 days outside the EU. You have 14 days to return an unopened bottle.
