The One Grey, inspired by Dolce & Gabbana The One Grey (2018)

Grey starts with grapefruit and cardamom, zesty and cool rather than hot. Lavender and earthy vetiver follow, giving the heart a clean, aromatic shape. Tobacco and amber come through in the base, wrapped in a grey woods accord. Next to The One, it reads fresher and more muted.

About the original

The One Grey was announced in July 2018 and reached shops that autumn as a flanker of The One for Men (2008). Retailers sold it as an Eau de Toilette Intense, although some early news coverage called it an eau de toilette. It is usually credited to Jean-Christophe Hérault, though only fragrance databases give the name. It no longer appears in Dolce&Gabbana's men's range, and users report it was discontinued around 2025. The One EDT Intense, released in 2025, is a separate product rather than Grey under a new name.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dolce & Gabbana stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men drawn to The One's tobacco who want it with more citrus and vetiver are its natural audience. It is muted and grey in mood, so buyers looking for a rich, sweet tobacco scent may find it too restrained.

Is The One EDT Intense the same as The One Grey?

No. The One EDT Intense (2025) is a separate product, not a renamed Grey.

How does it differ from The One for Men?

Grey is the fresher variation, with grapefruit, cardamom and vetiver giving it a cleaner, greyer feel. We also make the original The One for Men.

Is Dolce & Gabbana The One Grey coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Dolce & Gabbana that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
