The brief was a warm oriental masculine built around grapefruit, coriander and basil at the opening, cardamom, ginger and orange blossom at the heart, and a deep base of tobacco, cedar and amber. Where typical late-2000s masculines went either aquatic-fresh (Aqua di Gio) or fougere-aromatic, The One for men pulled into warm spicy oriental territory with confident Italian luxury polish throughout. How It Smells
