Cool spices set the tone, with elemi, a citrusy resin that smells of lemon peel and pine, giving the opening its lift. Lavender sits in the middle, rounded off so it reads less herbal than in many aromatic scents. Woody notes and musk carry the base. Dior pitches it as fresh in feel yet concentrated in formula.

About the original

Francis Kurkdjian created Eau Forte, which reached stores in September 2024 as the first alcohol-free Sauvage. It uses a water-based formula exclusive to Dior, and the liquid looks milky. Dior calls it a highly concentrated eau rather than an eau de parfum. It sits alongside the Sauvage eau de toilette, Elixir and Parfum as a separate flanker.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Dior stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men already comfortable with Sauvage will recognise the family here, with a softened lavender. It leans clean, spicy and lavender-led. Lovers of sweet ambers will find it plain.
