Calabrian bergamot and mandarin give the first spray a clean lift before orange blossom and sambac jasmine take over. The flowers are full and heady. Underneath, Valentino set an earthy, woody note it calls crystal moss against Bourbon vanilla, so the drydown is sweet but grounded. That contrast between a fresh floral top and a denser base is the whole idea of the composition.

About the original

Valentino released Voce Viva Intensa in autumn 2021 as an Eau de Parfum Intense version of Voce Viva, which had launched the year before. It kept the square bottle, now with pink juice, and the launch material presented it as a celebration of feminine strength. Its base pairs crystal moss with a double dose of Bourbon vanilla, and reviews describe it as deeper and more polished than the original. The Intensa is no longer listed on Valentino's official sites, while the original Voce Viva is still sold in the US.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Valentino stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Someone who finds classic white florals too sharp may like how the vanilla rounds this one off. It reads deeper than the original Voce Viva, and the moss gives the base an earthy, slightly powdery dryness. Fans of crisp green scents may find the vanilla too prominent.
