Voyager, inspired by Aramis Voyager (2016)

Voyager begins with the zesty heat of ginger and a grind of black pepper, and juniper berries add a gin-like, piney freshness. In the heart, lavender is paired with sage and a little nutmeg, a familiar aromatic pairing given a spiced twist. Tonka bean, which smells of almond and hay with a vanilla-like sweetness, forms the base and rounds everything off.

About the original

Aramis launched Voyager in 2016, two years after Adventurer. Its notes come from fragrance databases, and neither a perfumer nor the original concentration has been confirmed by the brand, although it is assumed to be an eau de toilette. The European retailers we checked now show only the classic Aramis and the Intuition line, and Voyager is not among them. The Aramis name itself continues.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Aramis stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Lavender lovers who find the usual barbershop style austere may prefer the ginger and tonka here. Compared with Adventurer, it swaps the marine note for spice and a rounder base. Its sweetness is mild and only shows in the drydown.

Is Aramis Voyager discontinued?

It no longer appears at the European retailers we checked, and resellers have listed it as discontinued. We have not found a statement from Aramis.

Is this related to Nautica Voyage?

No. Nautica Voyage is a different fragrance from another brand; this page is about Aramis Voyager from 2016.

How does Voyager compare with Adventurer?

They share black pepper and lavender. Voyager adds ginger and finishes on tonka, so it is spicier and a little sweeter than the more marine Adventurer (2014).

Is Aramis Voyager coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Aramis that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
