Emblem, inspired by Montblanc Emblem (2014)

Emblem opens on clary sage, cardamom and grapefruit, a herbal, peppery-citrus combination with an airy feel. Violet leaf brings a green, watery note to the heart, set against cinnamon. Tonka bean, which smells of almond and hay with a vanilla-like sweetness, rounds off the woody base. The contrast between the cool top and the sweeter finish is what defines it.

About the original

Montblanc launched Emblem in spring 2014 together with Emblem Intense, and the composition is usually credited to Olivier Pescheux and Sonia Constant. Launch copy called it strong, charismatic and full of contrasts. Later releases include Emblem Absolu (2017) and the women's Lady Emblem line, all separate scents. Emblem no longer appears in Montblanc's current range, though the brand has not said it has been discontinued.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Montblanc stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Balanced between fresh and spicy, it has enough tonka at the end to keep it from feeling thin. Men who like aromatic, cardamom-led scents will find it easy to wear. Cinnamon and tonka do add some sweetness, so purists after a strictly fresh scent may want something drier.

Is Montblanc Emblem discontinued?

It no longer appears in Montblanc's current fragrance range, and several retailers show it as sold out. Montblanc has not made an announcement.

Is this Emblem, Emblem Intense or Lady Emblem?

This page refers to the original men's Emblem Eau de Toilette from 2014. Emblem Intense and Emblem Absolu are separate flankers, and Lady Emblem is the women's line, which we also make.

Is Montblanc Emblem coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Montblanc that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.

Inside the EU, delivery is free on orders of €49 or more. Below that it is a flat €4.99. Outside the EU, delivery is a flat €4.99 on every order. We send every order in 1 to 2 working days.
