Adventurer, inspired by Aramis Adventurer (2014)

Adventurer starts with lemon and bergamot, and black pepper gives the citrus a dry, prickly lift. The middle is herbal: lavender and geranium, with wormwood (the bitter green herb used in absinthe) keeping it from turning floral. Further down, cedar and patchouli form a dry woody base, and a seaweed note gives the whole scent a faint marine, salt-air quality.

About the original

Aramis, part of Estée Lauder, launched Adventurer in 2014 as an eau de toilette for men. No perfumer is credited in the sources available to us, and the published notes come from fragrance databases rather than from the brand. Estée Lauder restructured its Aramis fragrances in 2025 and phased out several products. Adventurer no longer appears at the European retailers we checked, while the original Aramis and the newer Intuition line remain on sale.

Our version

Ours is an independent eau de parfum made to evoke the same character. It is not Aramis stock, not an official relaunch and not the original formula.

Who it suits

Men who find classic lavender scents too formal may like the way pepper and seaweed loosen this one up. It is fresh and dry rather than sweet. Wormwood brings a bitter green thread that some people read as medicinal.

Is Aramis Adventurer discontinued?

It no longer appears at the European retailers we checked, whose Aramis pages show only the classic Aramis and the Intuition line. We have not seen a brand statement about Adventurer itself.

What does wormwood smell like?

Bitter, green and slightly medicinal, like a dried herb. In Adventurer it sits behind the lavender and keeps the heart dry.

Is Adventurer like Aramis Voyager?

Both are aromatic Aramis scents with black pepper and lavender. Adventurer leans marine, with seaweed and cedar, while Voyager (2016) has ginger and a tonka base.

Is Aramis Adventurer coming back?

So far, we have found no announcement from Aramis that it will return. Our version is an eau de parfum in 50 ml or 100 ml.
